Pioneer Woman Icebox Cake Recipe
Hey y'all, have y'all ever tried an icebox cake? It's the perfect dessert for those hot summer days where you don't want to turn on the oven. I've got two different recipes for y'all to try, so pick your favorite and let's get started!
Icebox Cake Recipe
For this recipe, you'll need:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Graham crackers
- Chocolate bars or chocolate chips
First, whip the heavy cream in a bowl until stiff peaks form. Add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue whipping until well combined.
Next, line the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking dish with a layer of graham crackers. Spread a layer of whipped cream on top, then sprinkle with chopped chocolate. Repeat these layers until you reach the top of the dish.
Chill the cake in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight until the graham crackers have softened and melded with the whipped cream. Serve and enjoy!
Three-Ingredient Icebox Cake
With only three ingredients, this recipe couldn't be simpler. Here's what you'll need:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- Graham crackers
Start by whipping the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Add in the powdered sugar and continue whipping until well combined.
Layer the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish with graham crackers, breaking them into smaller pieces if necessary to fill any gaps. Spread a layer of whipped cream on top, then repeat the layers until you reach the top of the dish.
Chill the cake in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. The graham crackers will soften and meld with the whipped cream, creating a deliciously creamy texture. Slice and serve!
